한국, 인도 친선협회 사단법인 한인교류회는 한.인 현대작가 교류전을 주관합니다. 관심 있는 분들의 많은 참관 바랍니다.

한국 인도 현대작가 교류회는 2002년 창립된 이후 전시와 워크샵을 통해 양국 작가들의 긴밀한 우호를 증진시켜 왔으며, 논문 등을 통하여 각국 문화의 미학적 접근도 도모해 왔다. 인도의 하비탓 센터. 서울의 세종문화회관 등에서 격년으로 전시를 하며  양국 방문의 기회를 가졌다. 인도의 카쥬라호, 한국의 광주, 제주 등에서의 워크샵을 통하여 각국의 자연과 유적 등에서 느낀 감흥을 작품에 표출하고 세미나와 특강, 민속 음악감상을 통한 이론적 접근도 시도해왔으며 각국의 문화 관계자들과의 대담회도 실행하였다.깔리챠란 굽타는 인도 측 큐레이터로서 한국의 국립 현대 미술관 초청 프로그램에 참가자로 선정되어 5개월간 한국에 머물면서 연구 발표를 한 바 있고 다른 인도작가들도 한국에서의 주요 국제전 및 개인전에 초대된 바 있다.

이번 전시회는 제 6회 교류전으로 Gallery AW와 인도문화원에서 전시회를 열고 슬라이드쇼를 통해 좀 더 심도있는 작품 감상의 기회를 갖게 된다.

2013년은 한국 인도 교류40주년으로 5월에는 인도에서, 9월에는 한국에서 양국의 작가들이  양국을 방문하여 전시회 및 워크샵 , 세미나를  할 계획이다.

오천년 역사를 지닌 한국과  팔천년 역사를 가진 다양한 인도작가들을 통한  문화 교류가 각자의 예술세계를 향상시켜 세계의 미술발전에  기여하리라 기대한다

Message from Ambassador of India

 

I am delighted that the India – Korea Contemporary Artists’ Association that was established in 2002, is holding its 6^th Annual Exhibition of paintings, by prominent Indian and Korean artists, first at the AW Convention Centre and next at the Indian Cultural Centre at Seoul. in September 2012. 

2.        India – Korea cultural exchanges go back to at least two millennia. In the recent period, given the tremendous interest in each others’ cultural heritage, our exchanges have gained further momentum.  Earlier this year, India and Korea concluded very successful year-long cultural festivals in each others’ countries.

3.        I have seen some of the paintings that are being exhibited and am struck by the bold experimentation with colours, themes, mediums and styles. I would like to compliment Ms. Lee Min-Joo and Mr. Kalicharan Gupta for curating such an imaginative exhibition.  I wish their initiative every success!
